Join Brian Hoefling for the New Haven launch of Distilled Knowledge! He'll be at GPSCY on November 12th, leading a discussion of the components of flavor: what separates taste and smell, what tactile sensations contribute to the experience of a drink, and how our minds can prime us to appreciate subtleties – or miss them entirely.
The talk is $20, and will include a demonstration and tasting of two relevant cocktails, led by Captain of the U.S.S. GPSCY Allison Hadley. After the talk, Brian will take questions on the science of taste (and of drinking in general). Copies of Distilled Knowledge will be available for purchase, and Brian will be happy to sign them.
