What better way to cool off after the Marathon than with a refreshing cocktail (or three)?

The Herzog Cocktail School, North 26, and Diageo invite you to join us for a lesson on Boston's two most distinctive cocktails: the Ward Eight, a whiskey drink with more than a century of history; and the Periodista, a dark rum concoction and local enigma that just turned twenty-one this year.

Brian Hoefling, founder of the Herzog Cocktail School, will be behind the bar to demonstrate the drinks' preparation, talk about their history, and assess Boston's role in the broader cocktail phenomenon. Appetizers and a full-sized sample of each drink will be included with your admission.

After the lesson, Diageo and North 26 will serve up a bonus round of Coconut Coolers, their latest concoction for easy summer drinking on the North 26 patio.
